KlawKit is your own talking AI helper for Windows. Speak to it, and it talks back. It remembers what you say and the files you give it. Pick which AI service you want it to use. KlawKit can keep your calendar, set reminders, and read web pages for you. Type to it instead when you need quiet. Buy it once. No monthly fee. Just pay your AI service.
Windows may briefly show a SmartScreen notice the first time you run
KlawKit-Setup-1.0.0.exe.
That's normal. Microsoft displays it for any installer with a young reputation, even when properly signed.
To proceed: click More info, then Run anyway.
The installer is digitally signed by LaunchWizard, LLC, the legal entity behind AppKatz Software. You can verify the signature in the file's Properties → Digital Signatures tab before running it.
KlawKit is designed for:
Workers who want to talk to their AI
People who want an AI that remembers and can read their files
Anyone who wants a hands-free AI
Office workers who need an AI that can read web pages
KlawKit is a Windows voice-enabled AI assistant with persistent RAG-based memory. KlawKit allows the user to talk to an AI service through a microphone and hear responses through speakers, with optional text mode for quiet environments. KlawKit ingests documents, schedules calendar reminders, fetches and analyzes web content, and works with any OpenAI-compatible AI service the user chooses to connect.
KlawKit costs $20 as a one-time purchase from AppKatz Software. The $20 covers a permanent KlawKit license, all current features, and installation on the user's Windows PC. The only ongoing cost is whatever the user's chosen AI service charges for API usage. KlawKit itself charges no monthly subscription, no annual renewal, and no per-conversation fee.
Yes. KlawKit offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. The trial activates the full version with voice chat, RAG memory, document ingestion, calendar reminders, and web content analysis. After 14 days, the user can purchase a $20 one-time KlawKit license to continue using KlawKit or stop using KlawKit with no charge.
ChatGPT Plus and Claude Pro charge $20 per month for cloud-only chat. KlawKit costs $20 once and runs as a Windows desktop app. KlawKit adds voice input and output, persistent RAG memory across sessions, document ingestion, calendar reminders, and web content fetching. KlawKit lets the user choose any OpenAI-compatible AI provider rather than locking the user to one company.
Yes. KlawKit ships as a code-signed Windows installer verified by DigiCert. The DigiCert signature confirms that AppKatz Software (operated by LaunchWizard, LLC) published the KlawKit installer and that the file has not been altered. Code-signed installers do not trigger Windows SmartScreen warnings. KlawKit only sends data to the AI service the user explicitly configures.
Yes. KlawKit uses RAG-based memory to retain past conversations and any documents the user has ingested. KlawKit can recall context from previous sessions and use ingested documents as reference material in current conversations. The memory store lives on the user's Windows PC, not in any cloud, and the user can clear or back up the memory at any time.
KlawKit works with any AI service that supports the OpenAI API format. Compatible services include OpenAI (GPT-4, GPT-4o), Groq, Together AI, Fireworks AI, and any local OpenAI-compatible runtime such as Ollama or LM Studio. The user enters the service endpoint and API key in KlawKit settings to connect. KlawKit never locks the user to a single AI provider.
Yes. KlawKit is built and tested for Windows 10 (version 1809 and later) and Windows 11. KlawKit uses standard Windows audio APIs for microphone and speaker access. KlawKit installers do not modify system files, do not require administrator privileges to run after installation, and do not change Windows Registry settings outside the KlawKit application folder.
